Last year, Derek performed at Carnegie Hall in the MasterVoices production of STRIKE UP THE BAND, directed by Ted Sperling & choreographed by Ali Solomon. Before that, he traveled the country with the national tour of Lincoln Center’s MY FAIR LADY, directed by Bartlett Sher.

In 2023, Derek played his dream role in his dream show—Don Lockwood in SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN! He also performed in THE SOUND OF MUSIC (North Shore Music Theatre), JERSEY BOYS (The Little Theatre on the Square), and AN AMERICAN IN PARIS (The Phoenix Theatre Company).

In 2022, Derek performed in the pre-Broadway tryout of 42ND STREET at Goodspeed Musicals. For that production, he was also dance assistant to award-winning director/choreographer Randy Skinner!
